This is the first of a series of training sessions that the Transformative Arts-Based Methods working group is offering. The goal of our training sessions is to share examples of design and arts-based methods in SES research while reflecting on practices and lessons learned across contexts and projects.

In this instance, we will dive into a novel approach to collective futures visioning named Collaging Futures. The method — a result from a design-collage synergy — showcases its potential for engaging plural knowledge systems and reshaping narratives of futures that amplify territorial wisdoms and democratize creativity. The session will offer an opportunity to learn about the method and its conceptual framework, as well as engage in a brief hands-on trial.

Our members and method developers will lead the session: Marysol Ortega Pallanez (ASU, USA) and Silvana Juri (SARAS, Uruguay).
