What is Institutional Membership?
Institutional membership is designed for organizations such as research institutes, lab groups, networks, and NGOs who want to join at an organizational level and play a leadership role in advancing and supporting social-ecological systems research and action. Institutions joining in 2025 and remaining members through 2027 will be highlighted as founding members of the Society. These founding members will play a critical role in supporting and shaping the society and the future of SES research.
Institutional membership includes a number of complimentary individual memberships, as well as the opportunity to be part of the society’s Institutional Hub that aims to facilitate support and collaboration among SES research and practice institutions around the world. Institutional members will build partnerships that can strengthen and align their own institutional efforts, shape the society’s agenda and the frontiers of SES research and practice, and strengthen the connection between SES research, policy, and practice.
Institutional Membership Levels
We offer different levels of institutional membership. Each level includes several full individual memberships for your staff or team and a specific number of representatives that will automatically be part of the society’s institutional hub. In addition to these complimentary memberships, any number of additional individual and student members can be added at standard individual rates, enabling you to generate a single invoice to cover membership for your entire organizational team.
The society’s institutional hub will provide a dedicated space for institutional representatives to interact and collaborate on shared institutional challenges and take collective leadership to advance the field. The hub will be coordinated by a small team and host periodic discussions and activities, as well as facilitating collaborative papers and reports.
