How the IPBES Transformative Change Assessment can drive real change: interactive webinar – 8 May 2025

The IPBES Transformative Change Assessment (TCA) is a landmark moment for communities working on sustainability transformations. Join the Transformations Community, cCHANGE, and SocSES on May 8, 2025, at 17:00 CEST for a 90-minute interactive webinar exploring how organizations that bridge science, policy, and action can bring the IPBES Transformative Change Assessment to life. During the webinar, titled “Turning Insight into Action: How the IPBES Transformative Change Assessment Can Drive Real Change”, we’ll explore together how these “boundary organizations” can turn key insights into real-world change.


This interactive session includes:

  • Introductory discussion on the role of boundary organizations in catalyzing transformation
  • Highlights from key TCA chapters presented by lead authors
  • Breakout discussions to explore how to apply the TCA in practice
  • Reflections on building collaboration across boundary organizations

  • Strengthen collaboration among leading boundary organizations to amplify the impact of the IPBES TCA.
  • Explore how science-policy-practice intermediaries can better coordinate efforts to drive systemic change.
  • Identify concrete actions that boundary organizations can take to support transformative change at scale.
